Margarita is an Employment Specialist working on Limited English Proficiency Pathway and Basic Food Employment Training Programs at Partners in Careers. She is bilingual and bicultural Russian speaking employment specialist. Margarita arrived in the USA 22 years ago. For all those years she has been working with immigrants and refugees in the Portland-Vancouver metro area and served people from more than 25 different nationalities from the whole world around.
She graduated with a master’s degree from Lewis and Clark College, majoring in School Counseling and Educational Studies. Margarita started at Partners in Careers in 2016 where she provides cultural comprehensive services to immigrants and refugees from Russia, Ukraine, Iraq, Mexico, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, and Micronesia by helping them to find jobs and appropriate trainings, to access community resources and support their goal to work toward to the career of their dreams, and as a result to become self-sufficient and well established members of local community and entire USA society.
Margarita likes coffee, she likes to roast green coffee beans according to old Ethiopian traditions that she learned from Ethopian immigrants. She likes hiking, cooking, reading, and painting, fine art, and drawing.
